About Charissa Maduro
By nature, Charissa is an energy worker and someone with personal experience. In addition, she has been a certified holistic healer since July 2023.
In addition to running her own practice, Charissa serves as a project manager and consultant, playing a connecting role between organizations in social care and well-being in Amsterdam for the benefit of those seeking help. This gives her the network and expertise when more than complementary care is required. For the past few years, she has also been actively volunteering for a national patient organization.
In her free time, Charissa engages in writing, working on her debut novel titled 'Burning Feet.' It is based on her family history, where the magical and medical worlds set the stage for the story of the quest for a remedy for a rare disease. Charissa grew up in an Indo-Caribbean family and has been a mother herself since 2000.
Personal story
As a toddler, I discovered my connection with the energy from nature and the Universe, realizing that I could strongly feel it, communicate with it, and direct it. From an early age, it has been natural for me to transmit loving and healing energy to family, friends, acquaintances, anonymously, or upon request.
Almost always, I was busy taking care of others and forgot about myself. From 2009, I started experiencing recurring fatigue until I became exhausted in 2022. I began to wonder what the persistent energy deficit was trying to tell me. Over the years, I had tried various things but hadn't gotten to the core until I went to Portugal for a yoga and meditation retreat.
During the retreat, everything truly came together—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—where I also strongly reconnected with nature. My life path and mission became so clear and vivid there. The message was that I shouldn't remain in anonymity and, as a result, can support many more people. 'How credible is that in my condition?' I asked my coach. 'You are a wounded healer,' was the response."
Through the Holistic Healer training with Upstarter, I subsequently worked on my own process. Since then, I take care of myself in a holistic way, first and foremost, to be able to give the best to others. And, of course, I continue to develop, partly through further studies involving both theory and practice.

Motivation
Since completing the holistic healer training, the energy flows. It's too much to keep to myself, and 'disposing' of it would be a waste. Additionally, I've discovered how beautiful and effective it is to collaborate rather than quietly working alone from a distance. Ultimately, healing is something you do for yourself, only when you fully want it and are open to it.
I wish for your light to shine brighter. I can support you in finding and maintaining your strength. I sense tensions before you even notice them, that's why I work preventively, activating the self-healing abilities or guiding you through a treatment process for issues/conditions/problems.
With love, respect, and gratitude for you as a fellow human, for Mother Nature, for life, and the light that binds us, I position myself in service. I hope to meet you (again) if this approach resonates with you.
